Guideline for Authors regarding Abstract/Full Paper Submission

1 - Submitting your Abstract

The International Conference on Nextgen Electronic Technologies - Silicon to Software (ICNETS2 2017) welcomes submission of abstracts (in English) for original contribution to the field in the following symposia:

Original abstracts reporting on new research and development results as well as practical implementations and applications in the technical areas as described in the scope of the relevant symposia are solicited.

Each author is requested to submit a one page-long abstract in PDF file.

The one-page abstract must be prepared on A4-size page, typed single-spaced within 17cm x 24cm area according to the template supplied (downloadable).

All submissions must comply with the template provided to meet formatting requirement.

2 - Format for submitting Abstract & Keywords

The abstract should comprehend the article with methods / techniques in brief and should summarize the most important results. Do not include any citations in the abstract. Authors should provide 4-6 keywords separated by comma.

All abstracts will be subjected to peer review and the decision of programme scientific committee is final.

The Format of abstract should be in the following sub-headings

Methods:
Results:
Keywords:

The abstract should be submitted strictly as per the format specified below:

  • Font type: Times New Roman
  • Title: bold, font size 14
  • Font size (Authors names and affiliations): 12
  • Body of the text: 11
  • Margins: 1 inch all around
  • Presenting author(s) must be underlined
  • Corresponding author must be indicated by an asterisk(*)
  • Email address of the author(s) must be provided
  • Abstract must be written with a Maximum of 600 words excluding keywords.
  • Only pdf format is accepted

3 - Instructions on online Abstract / Paper Submission

This tutorial will show you how to upload your Conference Abstract / Paper submissions to CMT paper submission .

3.1 - If you don’t have an CMT Account.
  • Create a user account on the CMT paper submission link given in the URL by navigating to the ICNETS2 2017 CMT system, at https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/ICNETS22017.
  • Click ‘Create an account’. [Make sure that your browser has cookies and Javascript enabled]
  • Fill out your login information and personal information. Enter the verification code and click ‘Register’.
  • It will navigate to the ‘Conference List’ webpage. Click ‘All Conferences’ tab and Type ‘ICNETS2’ in the filter text box.
  • Click the conference name ‘International Conference on Nextgen Electronic Technologies - Silicon to Software’.
  • NOW YOU ARE A REGISTERED USER OF CMT SYSTEM.
  • FOLLOW THE STEPS GIVEN BELOW FOR ABSTRACT / FULL PAPER SUBMISSION.
3.2 - If you have an CMT Account:


4 - Steps for abstract submission:

  • Click ‘Create New Submission’. You have to choose the Symposium type from the drop down box.
  • Fill out the forms to provide title and abstract with keywords. If you want to add co-authors who have already signed up to CMT online submission System, you should type their email address and click ‘Add’ to search for them, as opposed to adding their information manually.
  • Choose the subject areas related to your abstract.
  • Upload your abstract / full paper in PDF format by clicking the ‘Upload from Computer’ button or Drag and Drop the files in the space provided.
  • When you have completed your submission, click ‘Submit’ to save all the information in CMT System.
  • Once you have submitted, you will be taken to the ‘Edit Conflict of Interest’ page for your paper. You may update information about your co-author and reviewer for the paper. Then click the ‘Save to Conflicts’ button to get submission summary.
Note: After your paper is accepted for ICNETS2 conference please follow the instructions given below to submit your full paper.

5 - Steps for full paper submission:

  • After your paper is accepted for ICNETS2, navigate to the ICNETS2 2017 CMT online submission system, at https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/ICNETS22017
  • Sign in using your existing username and password. (Use the RESET PASSWORD option in case you forgot the password. The password will be mailed to you).
  • Click the “Edit Submission” Link available in “ACTIONS” column.
  • You will find the filled form which contains title, abstract with keywords and author details
  • Upload the FULL PAPER in .docx or .pdf format by clicking the ‘Upload from Computer’ button or Drag and Drop the files in the space provided.
  • After your submission, click ‘SAVE CHANGES’ button to save all the information in CMT System.
  • Once you have saved the information, you will be taken to the ‘Edit Conflict of Interest’ page for your paper. You may update information about your co-author for the paper. Then click the ‘Save to Conflicts’ button to get submission summary.

Note to Authors: Number of pages should not exceed FOUR(4) published pages (Including References )



6 - Steps for Camera Ready Submission:

  • After receiving the reviewer comments for your full paper. Kindly navigate to the ICNETS2 2017 CMT online submission system, at https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/ICNETS22017
  • Sign in using your existing username and password. (Use the RESET PASSWORD option in case you forgot the password. The password will be mailed to you).
  • Click the “Create Camera Ready Submission” Link available in “ACTIONS” column.
  • You will find the filled form which contains title, abstract with keywords and author details
  • Upload the Camera Ready paper in .doc format by clicking the ‘Upload from Computer’ button or Drag and Drop the files in the space provided.
  • After your submission, click ‘Submit’ button to save all the information in CMT System.
  • In the final step, Camera Ready submission summary page will be displayed.

Authors are instructed to download the appropriate template given below and submit the camera paper adhering to the format.

  • If you have generated a CMT account and have forgotten your password, just click on “Reset your password”, instructions will be sent to you by email.

Guidelines for Oral Presentation

ICNETS2 oral session is a platform to exchange of ideas by way of presentation pertaining to research being carried out in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Many researchers around the world from renowned industries and academia are invited for the conference. Presenting authors would be benefitted with lively discussions and constructive criticism from the session chairs and fellow delegates. Besides that to recognise the contribution of the presenters, Springer nature gives away the BEST PRESENTATION AWARD for each symposium. Besides, MRS (Singapore) presents the BEST PRESENTATION award as well.

To maintain uniformity among the presenters, you are requested to strictly adhere to guidelines given below:

  1. Time allotted for presentation is 13 minutes followed by 2 minutes for Q&A/Comments.
  2. Strictly adhere to the timings allotted.
  3. Prepare the presentation to the point. The purpose of the presentation is to highlight the research contribution of the paper and not to present the paper as such.
  4. Try to avoid overloading your presentation with unnecessary images. Use of relevant figures / diagrams / graphs is recommended.
  5. Save the presentations in
    • MS Windows: Microsoft PowerPoint [.ppt /.pptx]
    • Pdf of the power point presentation
  6. Carry your presentation on a USB memory stick. Be sure to CLEARLY identify your USB memory stick with your name & the session in which you are presenting. Make sure that you have already pre-scanned your memory device and the presentation file so that its free from virus.
  7. Presentation venues will be equipped with
    • LCD Projector
    • Projection Screen
    • Power cord and VGA cable
    • Desktop Computer (Windows-based PC)
    • Laser pointer
    • Collar mic

Guidelines for Poster Presentation

ICNETS2 poster session is a platform to exchange of ideas by way of presentation (POSTER) pertaining to research being carried out in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Many researchers around the world from renowned industries and academia are invited for the conference. Presenting authors would be benefitted with lively discussions and constructive criticism from the session chairs and fellow delegates. To recognise the contribution of the presenters, Springer nature gives away the BEST PRESENTATION AWARD for each symposium. Besides, MRS (Singapore) presents the BEST PRESENTATION award as well.

To maintain uniformity among the presenters, you are requested to strictly follow guidelines given below:

  1. Size: The poster size should be 110 x 80 cm (43.3 x 31.5 inches).
  2. Orientation: Landscape only.
  3. Ensure to make your poster looks visually appealing.
  4. Try to minimize the text and convey your ideas / research work through figures / diagrams / graphs / numbers as deemed necessary.
  5. The content of the poster should emphasis on the motivation for the research problem, the solution proposed, and the analytical / empirical results and Conclusion.
  6. Bring a printed copy of the poster to the poster session (strictly to the suggested size)
  7. You will be provided with necessary support system (Boards for display, Pins etc) for displaying the poster.
